Our school， situated at the base of a mountain with a nearby river flowing through， used to be a verdant paradise with lush green trees and blooming flowers throughout the schoolyard， year-round.
However， since a chemical plant was established near our school some years ago， significant changes have occurred. The plant emits toxic gases and discharges large amounts of waste into the river， causing severe pollution that has adversely affected us students and teachers， as well as the surrounding environment.
